General Info
Kiel is an excellent, tideless, natural harbour, almost invariably free from ice, connected to the River Elbe and the North Sea through the Kiel-Canal. North of the entrance to the Canal is the Holtenau roadstead, affording excellent anchorage; depth at entrance and on bar, 16 m, max. allowed 9,7 m.
